Dacia official announcement: The name of the new compact crossover will be revealed on March 5

Dacia bets on the C segment: Everything we know about the new "Spacer" model and the futuREady strategic plan

In a moment of effervescence for the European automotive industry, the Mioveni brand is preparing to take the next decisive step in "conquering" the compact segment. After the resounding success of the new Duster and the imminent launch of the Bigster model, Dacia will officially reveal, on March 5, 2026, the name of its future compact crossover — a project known so far under the internal code C-Neo.

According to recent market information, this new model, which could be called the Dacia Spacer, promises to be a smart and robust alternative for families who want space without necessarily opting for the classic silhouette of an SUV.

The "futuREady" strategy: From success to system

The name announcement is part of a broader offensive by the Renault Group, which has outlined the coordinates of a new strategic plan called futuREady. If until now "Renaulution" was about recovery and profitability, futuREady aims to transform the group into a resilient system, capable of achieving carbon neutrality in Europe by 2040.

The events calendar is tight:

  • March 4: Renault will announce the name of a spectacular new show car.
  • March 5: Dacia "steals the start" and officially presents the name of the C-Neo model.
  • March 10: The group will detail the entire strategic plan, providing a clear vision of the technological and commercial future.

Dacia Spacer (C-Neo): An "Octavia Killer" with increased ground clearance?

The new model is not just "another car", but a paradigm shift for Dacia. Here are the main coordinates of the future crossover:

  • Hybrid design: Described as a crossover estate or shooting brake, it will combine the elegance of a station wagon with the robustness typical of Dacia. It will be approximately 4.6 meters long, placing it between the Jogger and the future Bigster.
  • Commercial target: Dacia is directly targeting the compact segment where models such as the Skoda Octavia or Volkswagen Golf Variant dominate, but offering a much more competitive starting price, estimated at around 24,000 - 25,000 euros.
  • Modern engines: The model is expected to use the CMF-B platform, including Mild Hybrid (1.2 Turbo) and Full Hybrid (Hybrid 155) propulsion types, as well as LPG versions (ECO-G).

Historic premiere: Production moves to Turkey

For the first time in the brand's history, a Dacia model will be produced exclusively outside Romania, at the Oyak-Renault plant in Bursa, Turkey. The strategic decision allows the Mioveni plant to focus at full capacity on the production of the Duster and Bigster models, which continue to register record demand in Europe.

Although the "heart" of this model's production will be in Turkey, the design and engineering bear the imprint of the Titu center, preserving the DNA of pragmatism and quality-price ratio that has established the brand.

In addition to this compact crossover, Dacia is also preparing a new A-segment electric vehicle for the near future (possibly the successor or a bigger "brother" for the Spring), demonstrating that the transition to green mobility remains a priority under the new futuREady plan.
